It’s official! Tristan Algera, player for the Dutch hockey club HC Rotterdam and sponsored by Gryphon Hockey, is Hockey Dreams’ newest ambassador! He and his girlfriend Ayuk were part of the group of fundraisers who visited the Zambian hockey community in July this year, the trip so called African Hockey Experience. As a result of seeing and being welcomed by the local coaches, they all experienced the love for the same sport.
GRYPHON as our partner
As GRYPHON decided to become Brand Partner of Hockey Dreams Foundation per 2018, Tristan was invited to travel to Lusaka, Zambia where the partnership was officially launched. A fully sponsored equipment kit for all our 10 Zambian coaches was brought as a gift by GRYPHON and considered as a big boost for the coaches’ personal development in hockey.
Tristan: “We were very happy to be able to join the AHX this year. It was a great experience which we will remember for a very long time. A must for all hockey lovers! We have experienced how important and effective the programme is for both the community and the local coaches. I’m very grateful to be become the newest ambassador of Hockey Dreams and I hope we can get amazing things done together with Gryphon Hockey!”
With Tristan on board, he is the second GRYPHON hockey player to be a member of the Hockey Dreams Ambassadors Family, aside to Dutch National Player Maria Verschoor. Together with Bjorn Kellerman, the three now make a good team for the foundation.
